Europe's pioneering technology entrepreneurs received the prestigious Europioneers Awards at the Web Summit held in Dublin earlier this week. Peter Arvai, one of the founders of Prezi received the Europioneers award "Top Web Entrepreneur of 2014".
The Europioneers competition is an annual event organized as a part of Startup Europe and the European Commission’s Europe programme for Web Entrepreneurship. The first Pioneers Unplugged was hosted in Budapest on June 18. The goal of Pioneers Unplugged is to bring together people who are interested in entrepreneurship and innovative future technologies, and become the regular meeting point of this community.
On Tuesday, June 18, the first Pioneers Unplugged was hosted in Budapest. It inspired and educated more than 100 people from the local startup community such as entrepreneurs, investors, managers, programmers, students and people from the press. While Pioneers Festival is a conference to show off everything in tech, the Pioneers Unplugged offshoot of the brand is quite the opposite.
