Mixgar plays at 4 big summer festivals with Pepsi

July 11, 2012Social jukebox Mixgar is playing at four big Hungarian summer festivals this year, namely EFOTT, Hegyalja, Campus and SZIN in PEPSI’s video disco. Those living in Budapest can test drive Mixgar at the music pubs Grund and Sugar.

About a year ago young developers started to work on the online application that defines itself as a social jukebox. The interest towards the innovative project has been raised since it was introduced worldwide at different technological forums, but this year private investment group Phoenix Investment handled by InvestLife PLC decided to bring capital into the enterprise. The majority of ownership still belongs to Digital Natives, but from the 1st of June 2012 Mixgar exists as an independent company. Read more »

Music startup Mixgar secures a round of funding from InvestLife

July 2, 2012Hungarian music startup Mixgar has managed to bag an investment from the Phoenix group, which is managed by InvestLife. The funding will allow the social jukebox to pursue their short-term goals in product development and commercially marketing the product.

Social jukebox Mixgar, the startup which won IDCEE competition last year has raised €65,000 ($80,000) from Phoenix Investment group handled by InvestLife PLC. Incubated by Digital Natives, Mixgar is now an independent company as of June 2012. The new investors join existing key investor and current CEO Gerzson Huszar, but Digital Natives will still own a majority stake in the company.Read more »
