Ideapool receives $200k funding from Colabs for its intelligent packaging

IdeaPool, a Hungarian firm specialized in intelligent packaging and shelf-life indicators has received a capital infusion of USD 200k (HUF 46m) from Colabs StartUp Accelerator. Their product indicates the quality of the milk even in unopened packages.

IdeaPool is a young innovation technology startup from Budapest, Hungary. The founders, Viktor Seres and Zsuzsanna Galambos, created IdeaPool as a legal entity in 2011, after several years of experimenting and winnig of the first prize and HUF 3 million of The Young Entrepreneur of the Future competition, organised by Dreher Breweries. Hungarian venture capital fund Primus Capital announced its ninth investment. This time rather unusually it is not another technology startup, rather a business development company with the name iCatapult. Its goal is to promote local technology teams to global markets and put them on growth track.

Hungarian venture capital fund Primus Capital provided HUF 400 million funding for the establishment of iCatapult, a technology accelerator and business development company focusing on taking European technologies to global markets, primarily to the USA. DBH invests HUF 80m in Hungarian hygiene product Hand-in-Scan

DBH Investments has invested HUF 80 million in Clariton Ltd., the developers of Hand-in-Scan, medical hygiene tool that checks the efficiency of hand sterilization in the hospital environment. The product had previously won the LISAvienna MedTech Award for 2012.

Clariton Ltd., based in Debrecen, is a Hungarian developer of the biomedical equipment Hand-in-Scan, that uses ultra-violet light and digital imaging to visualize the effectiveness of hand-washing in medical environments. It highlights disinfected versus unaffected areas after hand rubbing, and provide an overall quality score to ascertain the effectiveness of hand-washing.Read more »

Remagine Technologies, specialised in energy efficiency, received an investment of HUF 350 million from Primus Capital. This is the eighth investment made by the Hungarian venture capitl firm, other portfolio companies include HYD, BBS Nanotechnology and Comforce Adfit.

Hungarian venture capital firm Primus Capital has invested HUF 350 mln into Reimagine Technologies, a company that has developed an energy-efficiency monitor that analyses and optimizes power consumption. PortfoLion invests €1.5 million in social media monitor Replise

Venture capital fund PortfoLion, a unit of OTP Bank, Hungary's biggest commercial lender, has invested €1.5 million in Replise, which monitors and indexes online conversations and social media content.
