OptoForce successfully closed an investment round with Finext Startup and Day One Capital. The joint investment deal secures a 600,000 Euro funding for the hardware startup and its proprietary product, a multi-dimensional force and pressure sensor.
OptoForce won several Hungarian startup competitions in 2012, such as the the Startup Underground and the Hungarian Innovation Tech Show. Their primary product is a proprietary sensor hardware, that is capable of measuring forces from several directions. Soo Meta redefines storytelling by turning content from various sources into great-looking video slideshows. The platform allows anyone to create an engaging piece of content within minutes, and also allows producers to add polls and quizzes to their videos.
Soo Meta is a new visual storytelling tool, which enables users to bring together video, text and interactive polls into a single multimedia package. It is the latest product of a Budapest-based online video startup, which has also developed a video curation app called Dragontape. The platform offers a simple drag-and-drop interface to pull in content from across the web into its online workstation, with the ability for users to search for videos, images, and audio. The campaign to attract more startups to New York is reaching across international borders. Last night a coalition of private and city organizations introduced a group of 15 startups from Central and Eastern Europe to the New York tech and investor community.
On May 6, a coalition of private and city organizations introduced a group of 15 startups from Europe to the New York tech and investor community. The mission was to build local business connections for these companies and the event organizers say some of these entrepreneurs plan to relocate to the city. The event was part of a New York City Economic Development Corp. program to encourage investment and trade between New York and cities in Eastern and Central Europe. This initiative, called World to NYC, is an attempt to show entrepreneurs from around the globe what the city offers in terms of expansion opportunities.Read more »
