Founder of Prezi is Europioneers' Top Web Entrepreneur of 2014

Europe's pioneering technology entrepreneurs received the prestigious Europioneers Awards at the Web Summit held in Dublin earlier this week. Peter Arvai, one of the founders of Prezi received the Europioneers award "Top Web Entrepreneur of 2014".

The Europioneers competition is an annual event organized as a part of Startup Europe and the European Commission’s Europe programme for Web Entrepreneurship. The objective of the competition is to identify and recognise successful European web initiatives, to promote the role web entrepreneurs play in European society, and to encourage and inspire potential entrepreneurs. The Europas are the premier awards for Europe’s hottest tech startups. Peter Arvai, Peter Halacsy and Adam Somlai-Fischer, the founders of cloud-based presentation platform Prezi were awardes the prize for the category “Best Startup Founder or Co-founders”.

The first Central European Startup Awards is awaiting nominations

The Central European Startup Awards is a series of events to recognise and celebrate the startup ecosystems of Central and Eastern Europe. The organisers are looking to find the best of the region in seven categories. Nominations are open until 23 April.

The Startup Awards started as a concept in 2012 to provide a spotlight focus on startups in the Nordic region. The founders soon realised that startups deserve recognition elsewhere in Europe as well. In 2014, the Nordic Startup Awards is expanding in Europe. Read more »
