The Central European Startup Awards (CESA) is a series of events that aims to bring the startup ecosystems of Central and Eastern Europe closer together, and place the region on the map as a leading center for innovation.
Nominations have been pouring in through March and April, and the organisers received more than thousand submissions from across the region. Now, after the closing of the nomination, a period of public voting is underway, where all nominees will have the chance to gather the support of their communities. The results will weigh in on the final decision of the Jury.
National award ceremonies will be organised in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia by local ambassadors. The campaign will lead to a Grand Finale held in Budapest on 30 May, where the winners from the countries of the region will gather for the awards ceremony to compete in six categories.
The winners will also receive valuable prices, such as $20,000 worth of cloud services by Goole, business and legal consultancy by White Summers’ european office, tickets to the Pioneers Festival, as well as many other prizes.

CESA is a collaboration between entrepreneurs from the region and the founders of the Nordic Startup Awards. The two events share the executive team as well as a cross regional Advisory Board and Jury. The Awards recognises and celebrates the most outstanding tech entrepreneurial achievements in the region, and aims to build a bridge between the Nordic and the CEE startup scenes.
