European Pirate Summit roadshow arriving to Budapest on June 7

The organisers of the European Pirate Summit visit 14 eastern and western European hubs, as part of this year's Pirates on Shore tour. The roadshow is arriving to Budapest on June 7, and will take place at Design Terminal, right in the heart of the city.

The European Pirate Summit was started in 2011, aiming to be the most exciting Startup Event in Europe. Like-minded Pirates, amazing speakers, and the gritty atmosphere of a mind blowing venue made it a startup conference like none other before. Since 2011, they are bringing together a selected group of startup founders, VCs and business angels at a scrapyard (yes, literally) in Cologne.

This year organisers will visit 14 European startup hubs in just 21 days, as part of the Pirates on Shore Tour 2014 starting on June 4 with Athens. Till Ohrmann, CEO and co-founder of the European Pirate Summit, and his companions will also stop in Thessaloniki, Bucharest, Budapest, Warsaw, Poznan, Sofia, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Brussels, Amsterdam and Eindhoven to get to know the local scenes, connect startups and VCs and spread the word about the European Pirate Summit.

The local communities will get to know Thomas Grota (T-Venture), Christian Thaler-Wolski (Wellington Partners),Stephane Gantchev (Launchub), Sitar Teli and Pietro Bezza (Connect Ventures), Maxim Gurvits (Teres Capital), Jonathan Becker (e.ventures), James Wise & Sam Myers (Balderton Capital), George Henry (Index Ventures), Oriol Juncosa (Nauta Capital) and many more.

Willing startups are called upon to pitch their ideas to the crowd and will be rewarded with a ticket for the Pirate Summit in Cologne. Details about the tour dates, tickets and applications for the local pitch competitions can be found online.
