International Geek-Together is a non-profit initiative of Peter Kovacs, aiming to connect expat geeks living in Budapest. The meetups usually take place at bars or cafes acros Budapest, however this time they are about to kick off a special edition event called “Ride the Danube” on the 31st of July. This event, basically a nice boat ride on the Danube river in Budapest, is going to start at 6.30 pm and officially ends at midnight.

If you happen to be in Hungary at that time, make sure to join the international geek community of Budapest for this boat ride – no keynotes, no roll-ups, only inspiring people, cold beer and new friends. Kalle Kaivola (SVP Product and Publishing at Rovio) will be there too – as a special guest from Finland. At “Ride the Danube” he will talk about his experience of the role that passion plays in game development.

Peter Kovacs and the team behind International Geek-Together are expecting to have 100-150 participant representing the international geek community of Budapest (from 30+ countries) and some more guests from Portugal, Norway, Holland, Austria and so on.

Participants will be asked for a very low entrance fee, just to make sure that they will show up once registered. Registration is now officially open for the geekest international boat party of the summer in Budapest! Read more and buy your ticket here.
