ReDefine: a conference on design in Budapest on October 2-3, 2014

Prezi is organising the Redefine Conference in Budapest on October 2-3, 2014. It will bring together 14 cutting-edge speakers from 9 countries for an intense two days dedicated to explore the multiple forms of design in today’s professional reality.

The Internet and connected technologies are blurring old boundaries and opening the door for experiences that merge digital and tangible facets of design. The rapidly evolving landscape offers great opportunities for the new generation of designers.

Prezi is organising the Redefine Conference in Budapest on October 2-3, that will provide a platform for people that embrace today’s opportunities and, through their work, question the role and essence of design. Professionals whose hands-on experience is leading to different outputs, processes, scope, and territories for design. People who are inspiring the possibility for new definitions of design.

ReDefine Conference will bring together 14 cutting-edge speakers from 9 countries for an intense two days dedicated to explore the multiple forms of design in today’s professional reality, and to take a small step towards building a more conscious design ethos for our generation.

Speakers were carefully selected according to their leading role and overall influence on the international design scene. Through their widely acclaimed work, they’re opening new perspectives on the outputs, processes, scope, and territories of design. Redefine will gather together this diverse assortment of thought-leaders in order to generate a constructive dialog around the opportunities for more meaningful practices of design.

The lineup of speakers features the likes of Colin Burns, Executive Creative Director of Future Media at BBC, responsible for defining and executing the creative direction for BBC Future Media's user experience, Jean Louis Frechin, the founder of NoDesign.net, an award winning global digital design agency where he worked on innovative and human centred design, and Jack Schulze, principal at Berg, responsible for leading product development work as well as many of the partnership projects including previous engagements with Google, Intel, and the BBC among others. The full list of 14 speakers is available on the ReDefine Conference website.

Whether people classify you as a designer, entrepreneur, engineer, marketer, or whatever, you're someone who embraces design. No matter what you’re creating — hardware, software or most probably an intricate mix of both — ReDefine will empower you to be better at your job. This conference will widen your professional horizons and give you the keys to redefine your practice of design.

The ReDefine Conference will take place in Budapest on October 2-3, at the Urania Filmtheater. Tickets start at $250 and are available on Eventbrite.
