Startup Wise Guys accelerator now offers additional €50k funding

Startup Wise Guys announced their partnership with venture capital firm Notion Capital, to provide additional funding of at least €50k for the best teams of the program. The application period for the Startup Wise Guys program is open until June 3.

Estonia based B2B accelerator Startup Wise Guys announced their partnership with venture capital firm Notion Capital, creating a unique team working with early stage business tech oriented startups. Notion Capital is to provide additional funding of at least €50k for the best teams, but also mentorship and follow-up support for the incoming startup cohort. The application period for the Startup Wise Guys program is open until June 3, and it seems like startups have all the more reason to apply.

The accelerator has already funded 24 companies from 15 countries, including some from the CEE region, like Croatian Monolith, Hungarian-Estonian TrainedOn and Czech SiftyNet. Its main focus is business technologies, especially SaaS, cloud technologies, payments, banking and security. This laser focus is what makes the deal with SaaS oriented Notion Capital so interesting – this vertical model and partnership may just be what the oversaturated startup and accelerator scene needs.

The partnership will allow Startup Wise Guys to extend their three months program for an additional month of acceleration, which will in turn help the startups with lengthy B2B sales cycles, utilize corporate partnerships, enter international markets and find seed investment.

"This partnership is a step in the right direction for all startups coming out of the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. Not only does Notion Capital focus on B2B companies, but this will help transition our startups into new markets. It’s important for startups to receive as much support as possible after an accelerator and this agreement with Notion Capital goes beyond the money" - explained Mike Reiner and Herty Tammo, co-founders of Startup Wise Guys.

Notion Capital will ensure additional funding(s), aiming to invest in the best teams and build a pipeline for Series A investments. It will also provide follow up support and space for founders in their London-based co-working Notion House , which is a great opportunity for them to access the UK market after the program. Startup Wise Guys will also up its game, matching Notion Capital’s funding with an additional €50k.

There is still time to apply for the acceleration program and get the most out of this partnership. Extended application deadline is June 3rd, and more detail and program description are available on the Startup Wise Guys website.
