Axel Springer Plug & Play, the Berlin-based accelerator program of the German media giant Axel Springer, is currently accepting applications for its next cycle. The 3-month long programme starts on March 31, the application deadline is February 14.

Berlin-based digital media startup accelerator Axel Springer Plug&Play will start its next program on March 31, with the application process closing in just two weeks on February 14. The three-month program is run twice a year, and provides €25,000 funding, office space in the heart of Berlin, coaching, workshops, and networking events. It ends with the Demo Day, where startups get the opportunity to pitch in front of an elite audience of local and international venture capital firms for additional seed and Series A funding.

The accelerator just concluded its latest Demo Day on January 17. Around 120 investors travelled to Berlin to see the pitches of the seven participating startups: 1o1Media, blogfoster, embraase, get2play, JOBSPOTTING, SOCIUS, and StyleUp!. The Demo Day was the final term for the second batch of startups that has now successfully completed at the Accelerator. But most of them will stay at the Berlin office until the launch of the next program, starting in early April 2014. The Demo Day is also a great opportunity find follow up funding, since investors are very well represented.

The next cycle of the accelerator program starts March 31, and requires full availability for its three-month duration. Apply now for Axel Springer Plug & Play to run for a place among the 8 selected startups for this batch.

Axel Springer Plug & Play counts now 15 great companies to their portfolio, which is quite an achievement in Europe, which is mostly dominated by the likes of international accelerators Seedcamp and Startupbootcamp. In addition to the clear business model, Axel Springer Plug & Play like to see themselves as an institution that loves to promote the international start-up ecosystem and network in Berlin.

Axel Springer Plug & Play is a cooperation between the German media giant Axel Springer and the Sunnyvale-based accelerator Plug & Play Tech Center in Silicon Valley. Launched in 2013, the Accelerator aims to build a bridge between Silicon Valley and rapidly developing European startup ecosystem and recruits trail-blazing digital entrepreneurs and provide them with global opportunities from day one through our international network in Europe and Silicon Valley.
