Hungarian Innovation TechShow 2012

Hundreds of visitors arrived at the annual Hungarian Innovation TechShow, where 21 IT and Technology developments have had the chance to showcase themselves to the public.

The Hungarian Innovation TechShow (HITS) is Hungary’s top-tier exhibition of ICT innovation since 2009, each year showcasing the country’s latest and most promising digital products and services to an audience of professionals, investors, the representatives of the media, and the general public.

Established in 2009 and organized annually by the Hungarian Mobility and Multimedia Cluster, HITS’s key objective has been to provide a unique opportunity for the Hungarian ICT innovation ecosystem to show its best through live interactive demos. The majority of the exhibitors are startups, some are more established companies.

The exhibitors were selected through a competitive open call by an independent panel of experts, and each exhibitor got the chance to show and pitch their product/service at the event. This year’s best included innovative solutions in robotics, health, pharmacy, transportation, and gaming.

  • The special jury award – an engraved trophy and 2 tickets to the 2013 The Next Web conference – was awarded in an extremely tight call to OptoForce.
  • The audience prize – an engraved trophy and 2 tickets to the 2012 How To Web conference – went to JobCTRL.
  • The audience picked the best presentation as well, which went to BME-Infokom Innovátor Nonprofit Kft. for presenting RemoteSense. Their prize was an engraved trophy and 2 tickets to the 2012 Bitspiration conference.
